I think as years go by, somethings from the past keep crawling back on.
As a designer, I'm always looking for inspiration, even when my machine is just sitting idle, its nice to look at something pleasing, I don't think that aspect has got anything to do with what year it is!
Didn't mean to offend Vino - your post seemed a little apropos of nothing and just had a slightly "I've got some mint free Smileys at the following links" vibe about it.
So I put my cynic hat on!
Some very nice screensavers there. Haven't had one on my machine for years but I like the polarclock.
