    Hi, apologies first if this is not in the correct category but here goes...

    I am thinking of purchasing a MacBook Air, 256Gb. What I would like to know is can I expand the size of Storage and if so how?

    As far as I know, the Airs can't be improved upon at all due to the way they're put together...

    aye is that not the point they are soooo thin as there is nought in them and all saving of work is to ext. sources?

    The MacBook Air is fairly easy to get into (I know, I had to do it recently.) It's just a few screws. I didn't change the hard-drive, but there are plenty of how-to videos on youtube showing how to replace the hard-drive.

    The old ones, yes. But the newest ones don't have a 2.5" SSD in place: they use a bank of small chips instead (to help with the spacing), and they can't be replaced AFAIK:
