1.

    Apple Invite

  2.
They're insanely clever, I have to say.
  3.
The tablet will actually be a multi-colour etch-a-sketch, and nothing more.
  4.

I look forward to seeing how far off all the predictions have been.

  5.

    what tablet?

  6.
    The iSketch!
  7.
I just hope it's not too expensive.
  8.
Why? Scared your credit card can't take it? ;)
  9.
    Pretty much, yeah!

Whatever it is, I'll inevitably want it, and, quite frankly, I'm skint.

I'm hoping it's either a massive fail (which I doubt) and I won't want it, or they'll just announce it, but it won't be released for a few months (giving me time to go on the rob for the cash!)
  10.
We get one for work purposes, huzzah
  11.
    Introducing.... the iPollock!
  12.
nope I don't want it. stupid fucking thing.

i know i'll regret saying that.
  13.
Are they any rumours on the price? I'm guessing it will have to be more expensive than an iPhone is to buy without a contract, which would put it firmly in the £500 - £600+ bracket...
  14.

I think I saw it rumoured at $1K

  15.
    £800 then.
  16.

As far as Apple pricing is concerned, generally $1 == £1

So... ~£1k for a purely leisure based computer? No ta.

I sure as shit couldn't see myself doing any volume of "real work" on just a touchscreen, and I bloody hate fingerprints on my screen if I'm doing actual work.

I remain open to being astounded and filled with techno-lust, however...

  17.

I'll be waiting for a revision further down the line, when they've included features that should be in the first version.

  18.
    Oh dear...

  19.
"As far as Apple pricing is concerned, generally $1 == £1"

That's absolute bollocks, unless you're living in 1996.

This is going to be the perfect thing to take to the gym.

I currently watch TV episodes on my iPhone while on the bike/xtrainer/running machine as they all have convenient little ledges to perch it on. Its a little small but works. A 10" screen would be perfect.

So much better watching the latest episode of 24 at the gym than some shitty pussycat dolls music video they show on the plasma screens there.

And of course I suppose it would be good in meetings I suppose ;)

That is, if it happens at all. Going to laugh so hard if all they announce is iLife 2010 and an upgrade to the iPhone software. lol
