    We've been having email server issues for a while and emails have gone out from management and tech giving updates on action to remedy it permanently.
    A formal email went round this morning from the management stating that Mac integration was the root of the problem and that the company would be switching to MS/Windows-based machines over the April period. It supplied a link to a page which would go into greater detail, but which displayed a big, red, blinking 'April Fools!'.

    Owner of our company sent out an email saying that paychecks would be 2 weeks late... hasn't confirmed it was a joke yet though.

    That google motion one has IIRC already been done, and is cringeworthy anyway.

    Surely people realise if you're going to do this it needs to be something that people will actually find funny?

    I had an email from Mr & Mrs Smith this morning saying that the government are giving away £250 of hotel vouchers to couples or something. It turns out not to be true, and apparently that's what makes it "funny". Probably the worst April Fools gag I've seen so far. It's not funny and personally I think it devalues their brand.

    Wow - that Mr and Mrs Smith one in turns made me angry, confused and then a little dissappointed. Which is obviously a great way to set someone up before sending them into your ecommerce site.
