Code. CSS: Saf bug. tr background-image inherited into td

    Safari 3.1.2 (though discussion of this bug seems to date back to at least 2005, so presumably effects earliers versions too)…

    Implementing a background-image on the tr within a thead.
    Safari is incorrectly inheriting the tr's background-image into each cell within that row.

    The bug is reported in IE7, but is fixable.

    Fine in FF and Opera.


    Any solutions for Saf3?

    Nm, rejigged the background image and shifted it to the parent table element.

    Still, unimpressed that Safari team still haven't fixed such a basic bug.
