1.
Can't seem to convince a printer send us a book of foil swatches -- anyone know any companies that make foils that I could tap for a sample / swatch book?
  2.
I thought Pantone did a foil guide? I'm sure I've seen one...
  3.
    They do.
  4.
    They don't.

    Has apparently been discontinued.
  5.
Yeah, all my printers reckon they can't even get new ones for themselves never mind give me one.

Which sounds like utter bollocks, but googles not turning up any foil-makers (or whatever the hell they call themselves).
  6.
    try searching for 'foil blocking'
  7.
I did, but they're all printers that do foil-blocking, not the companies actually making the foil themselves.
  8.
    ah...ok
  9.
We've got one. Very handy if you do manage to get hold of one. So far no fewer than 8 clients and 2 printers have tried to snaffle it from us.

Foilco do some good foils Foilco

I get that impression -- it's like blood out of a stone. Thanks for the link.

'Impression'. Geddit? Didn't realise how good a pun that was at the time.

I am now swimming in foil books.
